Boca Raton's Coastal Exposure Demands Doors That Are Installed — Not Just Sold
Boca Raton's coastal geography puts large portions of the city in direct Atlantic exposure, and the high-value home market here means buyers, inspectors, and insurance carriers look closely at what was installed and how. The barrier island communities east of A1A face some of the most demanding wind and salt-air conditions in Palm Beach County, but the HVHZ requirements extend well inland — including the golf course communities and inland estates that characterize much of Boca's residential market.
Boca Raton uses the Boca eHub portal with ProjectDox/ePlans for plan review, and the city requires Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade NOA on all impact door installations. That requirement is enforced at inspection — an inspector who finds a door installed without a valid NOA listing will fail the inspection regardless of how clean the work looks. We only source products with valid listings, and we include the documentation in every permit package.
